ABOUT KENTAS
Kentas has come a long way in 32 years. From a
north London start as butchers, Kentas soon relocated to the oldest
meat market in the world, embracing a broader deli-based offering
of cured hams, cheeses, pastas, etc, in the process.
At the very heart of the City of London, in the shadow of St. Paul's
Cathedral, Smithfield Market can trace its history back 1000 years
and as such, perfectly defines the Kentas roots; With all the character
and energy of market trading in its DNA, Kentas of London has prospered
by building long lasting relationships through consistent supply
of high quality food products at the right price.
From its Smithfield Market cash and carry and distribution facility,
the Company now has an established operational presence inside
the M25, serving a variety of customers across a range of sectors.
The experience gained over many years working with the needs of
this diverse client base provides Kentas with unique systems to
reproduce its success elsewhere. And that's exactly what's planned.
To achieve the ambitious growth targets a bold Development Strategy
was embarked upon to deliver greater success. The starting point
was the establishment of the purpose built Luton Head Office; Operating
as the Company's administrative centre with ambient, chilled and
freezer warehouse storage capacity, Luton provides the perfect
distribution base from which to launch Kentas's national and international
expansion.
The second stage of the Development Strategy was to strengthen
the Kentas Management Team. With the appointment of industry veterans
as Finance, Sales, Operations and Marketing Directors, Kentas now
benefits from an additional 70 years combined commercial experience.
This ability was very quickly demonstrated, being instrumental
in helping to secure the significant P&O account as well as
Carnival Cruises and several prestigious sporting events.
Kentas of London is now perfectly placed to build on its success
with a defined strategy for growth, a Team who can achieve it and
an infrastructure from which it can evolve.
